FIU Law Review Symposium - Religion and the Law

This full-day conference will examine issues impacting gender, Muslim stereotypes, and freedom of religion and expression. Speakers from various backgrounds will discuss topics ranging from: Muslim expansionism and its compatibility with the modern world; the Free Exercise Clause and its impact on sex assignment and gender; and the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage and its impact on private religious freedoms. This symposium will include innovative legal discussions about how religious beliefs and religious leaders continue to have an impact in our modern society.
