On November 4, 2013, the Jain Studies Program presents its Second Annual Mahavir Nirvan Lecture "Applying Jain Principles in Medical Practice" with Manoj Jain, M.D. of Emory University. This event was sponsored by the Bhagwan Mahavir Professorship in Jain Studies and the co-sponsorship of the Program in the Study of Spirituality, the Center of Humanities in an Urban Environment, and the Jain Education and Research Foundation.
